Stamping processing is the production technology of parts with certain shape, size and performance by using the mould installed on the press to exert deformation force on the sheet material in the mould, so that the sheet material can be deformed in the mould. Sheet material, die, and equipment are the three elements of stamping processing. Because stamping is often carried out in the cold state of the material, it is also called cold stamping. Stamping is one of the metal pressure machining methods. It is a material forming engineering technology based on the theory of metal plastic deformation. The raw material of stamping processing is usually sheet material or belt material, so it is also called sheet stamping.
